Wheels Wallpaper Installation
I just put this piece up at Rare Medium, I call it Wheels Wallpaper, – it’s kind of a sculptural installation. The wheels are made of matte medium, which is what gives them the skin like quality. The design was an off shoot of this earlier piece, which is how I arrived at the name. The physical weight of it means gravity will change it over time as the wheels droop more and more. 96″ x 96″ x 4″approx.
New Video: The Physical Impossibility – Updated 5.5.12
My new video piece, The Physical Impossibility, is based on a few hundred “light paintings” I executed over the course of two weeks. I attempted to draw an accurate depiction of the female reproductive system with light. The accompanying text details the anatomical structure of the reproductive system, and is read by Dr. Anna Altshuler.
The video is currently included in The After Dinner Party in the TK Lofts.

MOON
another from the series – this is 18″ x 18″ ( 2 1/4″ deep in total), matte medium transfer on gel gloss medium on black velvet. i did the moon at the same time i did the cowboy on the cliff. i feel it can be on its own but i also dig the two together, the constructed text vs image. someone told me today it reminded them of a cormac macarthy story somehow, i wasn’t mad about that . . .

new text piece, 27″ x 48″. gloss gel on black velvet. the detail from an angle really shows the volume of the letters – they were made from a mold that is about 1/4″ thick. so they really pop out.

Another experiment in sound and layering using my H4n zoom. All elements are recordings of my breath and exhalation.
PILES
I recently started a new series of paintings/sculptures, which are on black velvet. For the first one, I made a wallpaper like pattern inspired by the mudflap girl. This pic is of the leftover cutouts from the stencil, the second is of the stencil itself. I’ll add the pics of the final paintings soon . . .

NURTUREart in Brooklyn just released a really nice online catalog for their 2010/11 season, I was happy to have Victory Dance included in Videorover Season 1.
