Wheels Wallpaper Installation
I just put this piece up at Rare Medium, I call it Wheels Wallpaper, – it’s kind of a sculptural installation. The wheels are made of matte medium, which is what gives them the skin like quality. The design was an off shoot of this earlier piece, which is how I arrived at the name. My new video piece, The Physical Impossibility, is based on a few hundred “light paintings” I executed over the course of two weeks. I attempted to draw an accurate depiction of the female reproductive system with light. another from the series – this is 18″ x 18″ ( 2 1/4″ deep in total), matte medium transfer on gel gloss medium on black velvet. i did the moon at the same time i did the cowboy on the cliff. i feel it can be on its own but i also dig the two together, the constructed text vs image. someone told me today it reminded them of a cormac macarthy story somehow, i wasn’t mad about that . ....
